Milí fanoušci masožravek,

All advance orders will be sent out over the coming week. If you have not placed an advance order, purchase your copy now at www.redfernnaturalhistory.com

Another new title, The New Nepenthes is nearly complete and we are aiming to release it before Christmas. This title includes seven brand new Nepenthes species (two from Borneo, three from Sulawesi, and two from the Philippines), and eight recently described Nepenthes published since the release of Pitcher Plants of the Old World, and many reports and accounts of new observations of other Nepenthes including rare and little known taxa.

In other news, as you may be aware, over the last year I have been working to support the conservation of Mount Roraima and organised non-profit eco-tourism expeditions to the mountain to raise money for conservation. The expeditions were completed successfully, and the I am now supporting WWF efforts to realise the creation of a Trinational Park to protect Roraima and its surroundings in Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. To continue to support this effort, I set up Lost World Tours ( www.lostworldtours.org ) to organise eco-friendly expeditions to Roraima so that the mountain may be visited responsibly, and so fundraising may continue for this important cause. Expeditions to Mount Roraima, Auyan Tepui and Angel Falls are planned for December and April, and tentatively for summer 2012 and winter 2012. The trips are organised to the highest standard, complete with private charter planes, 4*4s off road vehicles, the best guides and porters, an expedition doctor, chief, excellent food (and even wine), and good safety infrastructure (satellite phones, medical supplies, evacuation plans etc.). In addition to a first class expedition, your adventure will make a significant contribution to the long term protection of the mountains.

Below are a few photographs of Angel Falls and the spectacular summits of Mount Roraima and Auyan Tepui. For further information, please reply to this email or write to info@lostworldtours.org

Thanks, and wishing you a very nice weekend,

Kind regards

Stewart McPherson
