Czech Society for growers of carnivorous plants and other botanical curiosities

There have been founded two CP´s societies in our country, Czech republic. One has already existed for many years, while the another has been very, very young. Have you been quite confused? Well, to get a clear imagination, then you must read The Darwiniana´s Demarcation in our web pages.

We are here for everybody involved in carnivorous plants since the year 1991.

Our society is absolutely opened to who would like to share experiences and spend time together. Our members get four times a year magazine Trifid. They can also get many other advantages like discounts at some sellers, seed bank, library, trips to nature, lectures, exhibitions and much more. We also cooperate with Czech Academy of Sciences and other authorities on many interesting projects like publishing books, photo exhibitions, nature protection etc.

We are working on huge project - The Encyclopedia of carnivorous plants. It has just begun, so now only in czech language, but you should see our large gallery of pictures^web.

Actually we plan to celebrate our 20th birthday by organising the 2011 EEE. It could be a great event in Liberec Botanical Garden^web with the help of the director, Dr. Miloslav Studnicka. We will be pleased if all of you, lovers of carnivorous plants, can celebrate with us!

Few years ago we started to get closer to other European carnivorous organizations by changing our magazines and then in the year 2005 we organised the Prague EEE in cooperation with both Prague Botanical Garden in Troja (Fata Morgana glasshouse) and Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Charles University.
